    The magnetic connector can also attach it to your iPad magnetically. A balloon-shaped indicator will appear on the device’s screen. It shows you how much battery your stylus has. It’s easy to check the status of the second-generation Apple Pencil’s battery.

    Lastly, you will be able to access the Settings menu of your iOS device. Navigate the Apple Pencil section, and then tap on it. Look in the upper right corner for the battery level.

    How to Check Apple Pencil battery: Battery Widget iPadOS 15

    The iPadOS15 run iPads come equipped with a unique Batteries widget. The device displays information about your iPad’s battery life and any accessories connected to it, such as the Apple Pencil. It shows the battery level for Apple Pencils of both the 2nd and 1st generations. Here’s how:

    To put the home screen icons in wiggle mode, tap anywhere on the screen.
    You’ll see a plus (+) in the top left corner. Tap on it.
    You will see the widget menu. Select the Battery widget.
    Resize the Battery widget to suit your needs, then press Add Widget.
    The battery level of the Apple Pencil will be available to you from now.
    Additionally, the device will indicate the battery level if you connect the Apple Pencil with the lightning connector on the iPad.

    GO TO THE SETTINGS APP (APPLE PENCIL 2 ONLY)

    Another way to check your Apple Pencil 2 charge level is to open the Settings app. Once you’re in the Settings app, choose Apple Pencil to the right of the screen. The current charge level will be visible toward the top.

    This screen lets you control the Double Tap function on your Apple Pencil 2. This screen allows you to disable or enable the Scribble functionality added in iPadOS 14.

    Apple Pencil 2 is a great way to keep track of the current charge. The Pencil stays attached magnetically to your iPad. When not in use, it charges automatically. But you can still write for as long as thirty minutes by setting your Apple Pencil for only 15 seconds.

    You can monitor how much juice is left in your Apple Pencil by using the battery widget on the iPad. This method applies to both Apple Pencil 2nd and Apple Pencil 1.

    If you do not have the widget, adding it in just a few steps is easy.

    Tap and hold the Home Screen of your iPad until it enters edit Mode. Click on the plus (+) icon in the top-left.

    Click on Batteries. If you don’t see it, use our search field to locate it.

    By swiping left to right, select the widget size. To add it to the Home Screen, click on Add Widget.

    If you pair the Apple Pencil (or a different Apple Pencil) with an iPad, it will automatically unpair with that iPad. If you need to unpair, you can do it manually.
